Rural Development Services Projects
In September 2006, the Rural Development Service's project-based
schemes – including the Rural Enterprise Scheme, the Processing and
Marketing Grant and the Vocational Training Scheme – were
transferred to the NWDA. These projects aim to provide new
opportunities to protect and improve the countryside, develop
sustainable enterprises and help rural communities to thrive.
